Protagonist, Yuu, is going to die soon because of an illness. He's sent to the hospital to be treated until his last days, and he meets a woman who's also in the same predicament, Setsumi, although her time is coming soon. After a couple of days, the protagonist takes a hasty decision when he sees the keys of his dad's car: he makes an escape with the woman, without a concrete destiny.

It was a short read and not bad at all. Although Setsumi's interaction weren't as engaging as I expected, as the story progresses, her behavior is sort of explained. She knows she's going to die; what she's sure of is that she doesn't want to die at the hospital. Yuu also doesn't want to be there. They're two strangers who're together because of circumstances; Yuu tries to establish conversations with Setsumi, which he sometimes gets some answers, other times not. I appreciated that Setsumi didn't completely change just to like the viewer or the protagonist; it's not always that you see a female character like Setsumi, who has her own wants and isn't a character meant to serve the player.

The music sets the mood along with the illustrations. It has a good atmosphere, very nostalgic. It felt fresh in some way? The writing and interactions are pretty simple, in a way, yet I didn't grow bored. The length is good, imho. We follow the journey of two people who know their days are counted; we know what's going to happen but seeing the end, after the good times they had, the sadness prevails. It's as if you know what's going to happen but it still 'hits' right.

I'm unsure about reading the sequel, but we'll see.

I would recommend this to everyone, tbh! Those new to visual novels or to those who are already reading vns but somehow had missed this one.
